The August 19 edition of 110 Poker was totally dominated by Bomba King Alvin and Sid Farha. After not playing for a couple of weeks, Alvin came back with the vengeance by winning the 1st game beating Sid in heads up play.
The 2nd game saw the aggressive play of Alvin and Sid pay off as they steadily increased their stacks, even birthday boy 72offsuit and "local poker superstar" Donkey Call Jr. was victimized at one point or another by the two. Bryan (Brunson?) who already had his fair share of bad beats earlier at the ACF tourney didn't fare well either and went to sleep on the couch when he busted out. PairJordan was frustrated time and again by the two that he threatened to go back to playing billiards and quit poker. And just like a replay, Sid and Alvin ended up heads up with Bomba King winning again.
With the 2nd game ending at around 1 am, the usual question came up... one more game? And so the chips were distributed, buyins collected and a third game began. Finally, Alvin's streak was broken as he busted out 3rd. And for the first time, someone other then Sid and Alvin got into heads up play. "Local poker superstar" DC Jr. broke into the money going heads up with Sid Farha, and
DC proving his status as a poker star won the Heads up to take home 1st place.
***Editor's note: My utmost apologies to DC Jr. for getting the result of Game 3 wrong. ***
So goes another edition of 110 Poker SHET...
